Lights OUT!

We got our tree this weekend. We came home and I put the lights on and then we decorated it. It was comical because all the ornaments the girls put on are at the very bottom of the tree, sometimes multiples on one branch (I secretly moved them later). Since I am tall, most of the ornaments I put up are at the top of the tree, again, I balanced that out later. Everything looks great. This morning before church I turned the lights on so we could admire our work. A little bit later the lights were out, I thought Bill turned them off, he thought I turned them off. I changed plugs, nothing. I put other lamps in that socket, they work fine. So... I have a beautiful tree all decorated and NO LIGHTS! I REALLY DON'T WANT TO DE-DECORATE (is that even a word) THE ENTIRE TREE to put up new lights and then re-decorate. Things could be worse, I know, but I am still sad.

What should I do???

I'm so sorry! I would give it a day or two (waiting for a miracle) then de-decorate the tree. Sorry, but you can't have a tree without lights! Maybe just do it when the girls are asleep so it will only take you 1/2 as long. That is awesome that you got a tree though. I love real trees. We never could get real trees in our house because our dogs would pee under it and on the presents. It never feels like Christmas for me until we go to Vegas because we don't have any Christmas decorations. At least your house is looking like Christmas! Good luck with the tree...I will hope for a miracle.

forgot to say isn't it so fun to watch the kids decorate the tree?? britten and sarah too decorated the whole bottom half of the tree and i think i only had to relocate 2 ornaments. britten was SO excited! what would we do without them? they make life so much more fun!
